Beginnings
1965 — 1968
The V.V. Soliven Group of Companies first started with the name V.V. Soliven Realty and Associates (VVSRA). Young realtors Victorio and Purita Soliven established it in 1965. The enterprise initially sold subdivisions owned by reputable developers and landowners.
The first year proved to be successful, so the office along Washington Street in Sampaloc, Manila soon expanded with branches in Grace Park, España Extension, Aurora and Shaw Boulevard.
In 1968, they incorporated V.V. Soliven Realty and Associates, now called V.V. Soliven Realty Corporation. They moved to their new and larger office along Timog Avenue, Quezon City. From simply selling exclusive subdivisions, the company branched out into the construction of houses and development of subdivisions.

Expansion Era
The next
phase.
The Group expanded its capabilities by forming Solid Builders Inc. (SBI), responsible for vertical construction such as houses, buildings and shopping centers. Speed Construction and Development Corporation was also formed to undertake horizontal construction.
During the 1970s, these companies became involved in housing projects including Capitol Park Homes, Diamond Hills, Quezon City Greenheights, Antipolo Greenheights, South Greenheights and Parañaque Greenheights.
While Speed Construction developed the subdivisions, SBI built the houses, and V.V. Soliven Realty Corporation handled the marketing and exclusive selling of these projects.
Continued
growth.
Through changing economic conditions and growing demand for housing, the Group continued to expand its role in providing homes and communities for Filipino families.
Mass Housing
Solid Builders Inc. was formed to respond to the growing demand for mass housing construction.
New Ventures
Solid Rock Aggregates and Agricultural Development Corporation joined the growing family of companies.
Commercial Growth
The V.V. Soliven Shopping Complex was started, further expanding the Group's presence and capabilities.
Companies
under one roof.
Within the same period, Pasig Green Park Village, Marikina Greenheights and Greenheights Newtown were opened. Two more sister companies were organized in 1975 to support the Group's growing requirements.
Solid Rock Aggregates undertook the large-volume requirements for construction materials, while Agricultural Development Corporation converted idle raw land into productive agricultural ventures.
With the concerted effort of the companies, the V.V. Soliven Shopping Complex was started in 1976. By December 1978, the offices of the Group merged under one roof at the V.V. Soliven Shopping Complex, which was blessed by no less than Jaime Cardinal Sin.
In the 1978 edition of the Top Corporations in the Philippines, V.V. Soliven Realty Corporation was voted number two in the Real Estate Industry.
From affordable homes
to landmark communities.
In the 1980s, the Group placed greater emphasis on mass housing as the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan Program increased opportunities for Filipino families to own homes. The Group took part in the development and promotion of Pag-IBIG housing.
In 1988, Capitol Park Homes II in Novaliches, Quezon City opened. From a project of four hectares, it grew to 35 hectares with more than 1,000 housing units.
